Tell me the facts and I’ll learn. Tell me the truth and I’ll believe. But tell me a story and it will live in my heart forever.
Native American Proverb
Storytelling is our most natural form of communication…
We are hard wired to consume stories; they’ve been our primary form of communication as humans for as long as we’ve been able to communicate with each other. Stories are how we’ve shared knowledge over generations. Knowledge about where the best food is, how to hunt and gather, how to survive the cold winters, our traditions and beliefs, and the lessons we’ve learned generation over generation.
Story is, essentially, how we understand our complete existence :
Who am I?
Where do I come from?
Who came before me?
Who am I connected to?
How did we get here?
What do we believe in?
All of those are questions that we ask to try and identify and understand who we are and why we exist in the world. The answer to all of those questions comes in the form of a story that helps us ground ourselves in space and time.
Because of this, our brains are hardwired to pay attention to and remember information that is folded into the framework of a story.
Quite simply, we can’t help but pay attention to, and remember, stories.
When you think about storytelling as an art form – not a tactic or strategy , but simply the true art of telling a compelling story – stories are the most effective and natural forms of marketing your business can utilize.

The role of storytelling in your business…
Storytelling in your marketing and branding isn’t all about the heroes journey and positioning your ideal client as the hero of their own story. That is far too tactical of an approach for me and takes away from the true art form.
The true art of storytelling serves your business by creating an authentic and emotional connection. It opens the doors to a relationship. And invites the reader into your world.
More importantly, storytelling is how you avoid adding to the noise out there of all the marketing that tries to be louder and bolder than you. It’s how you remain completely true to who you are and attract the people who fit in your ecosystem. It’s how you naturally and organically enroll your audience into the journey you’re about to take them on.
You’re doing your life a disservice by not telling your story.
There is no one out there like you. No one.
My hope for you is that you get comfortable enough and familiar enough with telling your own stories that you aim to stand out!
My hope for you is that you share your message with the world in a way that is completely unique. I know you’ll bring the people who need you the most into your space. It’s there that you will take them on the transformational journey only you can provide.

I know that by each person sharing their stories, we can stop relying on tactics and strategies to market our businesses. We can start building relationships with the people we actually resonate with and who resonate with us. We can start connecting in our shared human experiences.
My commitment to you…
is to help you identify the stories you need to tell, give you the tools to tell them well, and support you in sharing them with the world.
